THE DECEMBER BUSINESS BLACKOUTS
December has become the most profitable month of the year for the corporations that drain our economy, raise prices without cause, and funnel their record profits into political influence instead of community wellbeing. These companies survive because the people keep feeding them. So this month, we stop feeding them.

The December Blackouts are a unified stand against the corporations that have manipulated the cost of living, driven inflation, and treated the American people as a revenue stream instead of human beings.
This includes Amazon, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, and every major corporation that thrives off predatory pricing, workforce exploitation, and community displacement.

December is also the month where consumerism reaches its peak. “Holiday spirit” has been weaponized into pressure, guilt, and overspending. Families go into debt to fulfill expectations created by companies that do not care about their lives, their wages, or their future.
This year, we break that cycle.

Christmas Boycott:
We refuse to participate in a corporate-controlled holiday where the profits leave the community while the people are left broke, stressed, and struggling. Instead, we keep our money local, support small shops, local makers, family businesses, and community markets. Every dollar we keep in our town strengthens our town.

New Year’s Eve Blackout:
We stay home, stay local, celebrate in peace, and starve the big chains of the final cash grab of the year. NYE is one of the biggest revenue days for major corporations. This year, that money stays in the community or stays in your pocket.

Church Contributions Pause:
Many churches operate tax-free while the people funding them are taxed at every corner. Until the people are no longer financially punished while institutions sit exempt, we pause contributions. Let them feel what we feel. Let them stand with the people. When we stop paying into systems that do not pay into us, change happens.

Why This Matters:
When the people move as one, corporations panic.
When we withhold our dollars, they lose power.
When we break the December spending cycle, we weaken their political influence and strengthen our communities.

This blackout is not anger. It is clarity.
It is discipline.
It is self-respect.
It is the people recognizing their own power.

Hold the line.
Keep your money in your neighborhood.
Support your community.
Starve corruption.
December belongs to the people now.

The People’s Union USA – November Blackout and Boycott List

1. Amazon — Permanent Blackout

Affiliates and Reach:

Twitch, Audible, IMDb, Whole Foods, Amazon Prime, and the global Amazon Associates affiliate network.

Why We’re Boycotting:

  • Amazon avoids paying its fair share of taxes while earning billions in profits.
  • It dominates markets, destroying small businesses and local economies.
  • It exploits loopholes, workers, and the system while contributing little back to society.
  • This company represents unchecked corporate greed and control.

We are permanently blacking out Amazon to send a clear message that we will not support corporations that exploit workers, evade taxes, and profit from inequality.

2. Target — Added for November

Affiliates and Reach:

Target Partners affiliate program, in-house brands, e-commerce divisions, and national retail operations.

Why We’re Boycotting:

  • Target has prioritized profit over people, rolling back key diversity and equity commitments.
  • It reinforces economic control by dominating local markets and squeezing small businesses.
  • It represents the illusion of choice while funneling wealth to the same corporate elite.

This month, we are blacking out Target to highlight the consequences of corporate greed and performative ethics.

3. Home Depot — Added for November

Affiliates and Reach:

Home Depot affiliate program, supplier and contractor networks, and global manufacturing partnerships.

Why We’re Boycotting:

  • Home Depot profits massively while laborers and contractors face low pay and limited protections.
  • It benefits from the same tax structures and corporate favoritism that harm everyday people.
  • Its model reinforces economic inequality and funnels wealth upward rather than into communities.

We are boycotting Home Depot as a stand against profit over people and the exploitation of working-class Americans.

4. Kellanova (formerly Kellogg’s) — Added for November

Affiliates and Reach:

Brands include Pringles, Rice Krispies, Eggo, Cheez-It, Special K, Pop-Tarts, and dozens of others.

Why We’re Boycotting:

  • The company has been tied to offshore tax avoidance and unethical labor practices.
  • It profits while workers struggle and global supply chains exploit vulnerable populations.
  • It symbolizes how the food industry prioritizes profit over people and planet.

For November, we are boycotting Kellanova to take a stand against corporate corruption in our food system.

5. Black Friday to Cyber Week Economic Blackout

Dates: November 28 – December 5

Purpose:

This is a full week of economic resistance — refusing to feed the system that thrives on overconsumption, manipulation, and inequality.

  • No shopping at major retailers or corporations.
  • Support local, independent, and ethical businesses instead.
  • Reclaim your economic power and remind corporations that we are the economy.

Our spending is our vote — and this is how we make it count.

The October Blackout List:

Amazon – Crushing small business, exploiting workers.

Target – Ignoring repeated boycotts, standing against the people.

Walmart – Exploiting labor, draining local economies.

Disney – Profiting off influence while ignoring the people.

Ben & Jerry’s – Once principled, now hollow under corporate control.

Every dollar we withhold is pressure they feel. This is resistance without violence, chaos, or risk to our families.

Why it matters:
This movement isn’t noise, it’s strategy. While others rally, we act. Together we’re building real power: community, structure, and solidarity in every neighborhood and chapter.

What to do:

Mark the blackout dates.

Spend nothing at these corporations.

Support local businesses.

Get involved with your local chapter.

Read below for specific details relating to each company.

Final word:
If we stop resisting, they win. If we stay disciplined, we win.
October is our next step. Join the blackout. Hold the line. Build the future.
